Abstract The well-known, traditional way to extend P-wave acoustic impedance data between and beyond the well log locations is post-stack inversion of seismic usually available in surroundings boreholes. A relatively new trend exploration based on pre-stack CDP gathers providing both P- S-wave sections (and volumes), as estimated density data. This methodology often called simultaneous model-based can be utilized not only for hydrocarbon exploration, but it might also a useful tool investigation geothermal resources.
